Williams Pride whip on Semi Dwarf rootstock
- Williams' Pride' is the eighth apple cultivar developed by the cooperative breeding program of Indiana, Illinois, and New Jersey agricultural experiment stations. The Williams’ Pride apple is a very attractive entirely dark red/purple apple, medium to large in size. It tends to be round or conical, with some ribbing. The aroma mirrors the flavor, which is minimally tart, complexly sweet and rich, with notes of pear. The crispy, creamy flesh stays firm and will retain its density for several weeks after picking.
